Motivated By Love. Our name says it all ~ A Legacy of Love Homecare, LLC. Though, we were recently established, our foundation began to be formed many, many years ago during the childhood of our founder & agency administrator, Kimyatta!
Coming from a single-parent family dynamic where she was the oldest, Kimyatta was thrust into the role of "pseudo parenting". She was responsible for looking after (or caring) for her younger siblings. She also grew up with very close-ties with extended family members that included her great-grandmother, grandparents, aunts & uncles, who were all very caring, full of knowledge & wisdom that they so graciously passed down! Learning from this "old-school" yet priceless way of interacting and thinking, a knowledgable, strong yet caring and compassionate leader was born! One who at her very core embodies the values and exudes the character of times past!
Backed by Experience……………….A little more on how it all began, fast-forwarding to the year 1991, a pivotal year for Kimyatta as she embarked upon many endeavors that would eventually begin to further shape her life to eventually “birth” ~ A Legacy of Love Homecare, LLC! It was in this year that, Kimyatta began a life of service in her all-important ministry that involved volunteering many hours in helping others to better their lives thru bible education. It was also in this year that her secular career path took her into a family-owned company that was well-known at the time for providing group homes and supported living programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Her tenure at REM Indiana, involved serving in many capacities from Administrative Staff and HR to her most cherished position as a Social Services Designee. In this capacity, she was heavily involved in the lives of her clients. She served as a voice for them as well as a liaison between the families and the company as well as outside organizations. In addition, it called for training staff in understanding the complexities & intricacies of providing care to these most vulnerable individuals as well as about Medicare and Medicaid as it related to the services being provided to their clients. Again, all of this prepared Kimyatta for this moment………………………………...of bringing to life “A Legacy of Love Homecare, LLC!
It didn’t stop there, Kimyatta’s experience continued to be honed and enhanced thru her many endeavors from Social Services and Real Estate to Wedding Planning! And, as of late, she has been heavily involved in the caretaking of her mother, grandparents, other relatives along with close family friends. If you look closely, you will see that there is one common thread………a genuine, heartfelt LOVE for helping people! The love that was instilled in her from childhood that she has continued to carry-on till now! This is truly a “Legacy”! She has been diligent to instill this into her own family and any that she comes into contact with including any who choose to be a part of OUR “Legacy Of Love” FAMILY. From your first contact with Kimyatta, you will see, hear and feel the deep-seated LOVE & Passion that has been instilled in her from an early age for serving and helping others. She is bringing that same LOVE, that same ENERGY, that same PASSION for service into her NOW…………….with an interest in assisting YOU and YOUR Dear Loved Ones with their needs! Providing them with the LOVE, CARE, HONOR and RESPECT they deserve!
